Job Description
The Broadmoor is an iconic and historic luxury resort known for its exceptional Five-Star and Five-Diamond standards. Situated in Colorado Springs, Colorado, The Broadmoor has maintained its reputation as one of the most prestigious hotels in the United States, providing guests with world-class hospitality and experiences since its establishment. This resort combines a rich heritage with modern luxury, offering a diverse range of accommodations, fine dining, recreational activities, and event spaces. The resort's commitment to excellence is reflected not only in its amenities and services but also in its deeply ingrained culture of community and family, aiming to create a welcoming, compassionate, and authentic environment for both guests and team members.
The Conference Manager at The Broadmoor is a pivotal member of the Conferences Department, tasked with planning, coordinating, and flawlessly executing a variety of corporate conferences, meetings, and social events. With an annual salary of $57,784 plus incentives, this role promises both a competitive pay package and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the guest experience at a top-tier resort.
This position serves as the primary liaison between clients and multiple hotel departments, ensuring that all event details meet the highest service standards from initial contract negotiation through post-event follow-up. The Conference Manager directs logistics including room set up, audiovisual arrangements, décor placement, catering services, and guest support, working closely with culinary, banquets, front office, and operational teams to deliver seamless and memorable events.
Responsibility for revenue growth is also central to this role, with a focus on driving banquet food and beverage upsells and forecasting event revenue to exceed performance goals. Strong relationship management, budget oversight, and the preparation of detailed event documentation such as banquet event orders and post-event reports fall under the manager's purview. Additionally, the Conference Manager leads planning site visits and organizes pre-conference and post-event meetings to ensure client satisfaction and precise execution of every aspect of the scheduled events.
The Broadmoor's employees embody its brand by consistently delivering exceptional service in alignment with Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five Diamond Standards. This role demands not only experience in hotel conference services or event management but also the ability to lead with integrity, transparency, and an eagerness to learn and grow. The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, especially during peak conference seasons.
The Broadmoor values kindness, authenticity, pride, evolution, and integrity, and these principles are central to its approach to employee leadership and guest service. The Conference Manager plays a key role in championing these values, contributing to the resort's ongoing legacy of excellence and innovation in hospitality. Employees enjoy comprehensive benefits including health and dental insurance, 401k plans, and local discounts, alongside career development opportunities at a globally recognized resort that invests fully in its team’s professional growth and success.
