Job Requirements

  • must be available to work day shifts evenings and weekends particularly during the months of june and july
  • hours might vary between 10-28 hours/week with occasional opportunities to work more than 28 hours/week when needed
  • must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for long periods of time
  • must be available to start training in the later weeks of spring semester in advance of summer responsibilities

Job Qualifications

  • experience with providing exceptional customer service in a professional environment
  • excellent interpersonal skills including strong oral and written communication skills
  • strong attention to details and proven ability to problem solve
  • extremely dependable and flexible
  • robust work ethic ability to take personal initiative and work independently as well as in a team environment
  • experience with windows office suite

Job Duties

  • serve as on-site representative of conference & event services assisting with client needs before and during summer conferences and events working to ensure client expectations regarding food/beverage setup a/v equipment staffing etc are met and proactively responding to needs and requests that may arise
  • perform general office functions such as creating and updating spreadsheets responding to calls/emails coordinating details between clients and campus partners and preparing materials for conference and events signage name badges conference packets etc
  • assist in the reservation process of event spaces managed by conference & event services
  • assist with office coverage front desk assistance accounting and registration services event support services and other guest relations as needed
