Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in concrete field testing (preferred)
- ACI Field Testing Technician Grade I certification (required or ability to obtain)
- Ability to work extended hours during paving operations
- Valid driver's license
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in outdoor and field environments
- Willingness to travel to regional project sites
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Job Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in concrete field testing (preferred)
- ACI Field Testing Technician Grade I certification (required or ability to obtain)
- Experience with FAA, USACE, or DOT paving specifications (preferred)
- Strong understanding of concrete materials and mix behavior
- Ability to work extended hours during paving operations
- Valid driver's license
- Strong documentation and communication skills
Job Duties
- Perform field and laboratory testing of concrete and aggregates including slump, air content (pressure meter), unit weight, temperature, moisture content, gradation analysis, compressive and flexural strength specimen preparation
- Cast, cure, and document concrete test specimens
- Maintain daily QC reports and testing logs
- Monitor batching, placement, and curing operations
- Verify compliance with project specifications and approved mix designs
- Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, batch plant operators, and third-party testing agencies
- Identify non-conforming work and assist in corrective action
- Maintain testing equipment calibration and documentation
- Support submittals and quality documentation as needed
