Job Description
Blakehurst is a distinguished Life Plan Community located on a stunning 40-acre campus in Towson, Maryland, near Baltimore. The role of Concierge/Valet at Blakehurst represents a unique opportunity to become an integral part of this esteemed community. Available as a part-time position, the Concierge/Valet plays a vital role in ensuring that residents experience exceptional service in their day-to-day life. Scheduled every other Saturday from 2 pm to 8 pm and every Sunday from 8 am to 2 pm, this position offers a competitive pay rate ranging from $15.75 to $17.75 per hour. This schedule is ideal for those seeking part-time employment with flexible hours within a supportive environment.
As a Concierge/Valet, the successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of duties that contribute directly to the wellbeing and satisfaction of the community’s senior residents. These responsibilities include delivering packages, flowers, and prescriptions to residents' apartments and various departments, assisting residents and guests upon arrival and departure, and serving as a back-up receptionist when needed. The valet component of the role includes parking and retrieving vehicles, ensuring convenience and safety for residents and visitors.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Ability to work scheduled hours including every other Saturday and Sunday
- Must pass preemployment screening including physical, background check, and drug test
- Must comply with vaccination requirements as applicable
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift 25 - 40 pounds
- Ability to communicate in English
- Must be reliable and punctual
Job Qualifications
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively, handle a multitude of tasks at one time, and provide a customer service attitude at all times
- Typing and experience with computers and other business machines required
- Ability to move 25 - 40 pounds
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Be ready to work with a smile
Job Duties
- Delivers packages, flowers, prescriptions, etc., to residents' apartments and other departments
- Assists residents and guests arriving and departing from the Community
- Serve as back-up for the receptionist as necessary
- Parks and retrieves resident and visitor vehicles upon request
- Performs other services for residents upon request
- Performs clerical tasks including making photocopies, sending fax, etc.
- Effectively exhibiting the Hospitality Promises, which is the blueprint for "The Blakehurst Way."
