Job Description
Parc Communities, established in 2000 and based in Atlanta, Georgia, is a leading operator of upscale, full-service senior living communities. The company has built a reputable presence in the senior living industry, specializing in the development and operation of high-end independent living, assisted living, and memory care properties. Parc Communities is renowned for its hospitality-enriched approach to senior living, ensuring that residents enjoy not only comfortable accommodations but also an engaging and supportive lifestyle. Their properties are distinguished by prime locations, innovative architectural designs, and state-of-the-art amenities that foster an enriching environment for seniors and their families. With a deep-rooted commitment to the principle of "ladies and gentlemen serving ladies and gentlemen," Parc Communities emphasizes respect, dignity, and quality service in every aspect of their operations. This philosophy extends beyond residents to include a supportive work culture that values and nurtures their associates, making Parc Communities an employer of choice within the industry.
The role of Concierge at Parc Communities is pivotal as it embodies the first and lasting impression of the community for residents, guests, and visitors. Serving as the initial point of contact, the Concierge plays a significant role in assisting residents, responding to inquiries, and ensuring an atmosphere of warmth, friendliness, and professionalism. The position requires a cheerful and helpful disposition, as the Concierge is a goodwill ambassador whose attitude can positively influence the overall resident and guest experience. Responsibilities include greeting and assisting potential residents and their families, managing incoming calls, conveying messages, and providing knowledgeable responses to various community inquiries. The role demands excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with older adults and their families, while upholding the community’s high standards of hospitality and service.
Reporting to the Business Office Manager within the General and Administrative department, this non-exempt position offers an hourly wage of $16.50. The Concierge is expected to operate with a strong commitment to safety and security by monitoring emergency systems, surveillance cameras, door alarms, and other life-safety systems to maintain a secure environment for all residents. Beyond security duties, the Concierge supports various resident-centered activities and contributes to the community’s quality assurance by overseeing cleanliness and order in common areas such as the lobby, game rooms, and media rooms.
The role demands multitasking and organizational skills to manage daily check-ins, coordinate activities, and assist staff and residents in problem-solving. It also requires adherence to confidentiality regarding resident information and discretion when managing sensitive data. The Concierge contributes actively to fostering an inclusive, respectful community atmosphere and is expected to model the core values and standards of Parc Communities, including the Parc 20 Basics and The Four Steps of Service. The work environment includes potential challenges such as exposure to verbal aggression or unpleasant odors, as well as physical demands like lifting luggage. Flexibility in working hours, including weekend duties, is also part of the position. Overall, the Concierge role at Parc Communities offers a unique opportunity to join a respected, service-oriented team dedicated to enhancing the lives of older adults in a luxurious and supportive setting.
