The role of Concierge at our hotel is pivotal in enhancing the guest experience by acting as the knowledgeable and friendly point of contact for all guest inquiries and needs related to the local area and our property. This position involves creating incredible memories for guests through expert service and local insights. The Concierge will be responsible for building and maintaining local contacts to stay informed about immediate and long-term events, enabling them to provide guests with up-to-date recommendations on what to see, do, and explore both inside the hotel and around the community. A strong understanding of popular and Instagrammable spots is essential, as is the ability to influence and guide guests towards enjoying amenities, services, and attractions that enhance their stay.
The Concierge also oversees the cleanliness and appeal of the Concierge lounge, ensuring it remains a welcoming environment. Additionally, the role includes providing food and beverage services, where presentation and quality are paramount. This includes mixing drinks and adhering strictly to applicable laws and responsible alcohol service practices.
Candidates for this role should demonstrate a high work ethic and self-initiative, with previous experience as a Concierge or familiarity with local events being highly valued. Exceptional customer service skills and creativity in problem-solving are critical, along with effective verbal and written business communication skills. Flexibility to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is also required.
