Job Description
ProMedica Toledo Hospital is a leading healthcare institution located in Toledo, Ohio. It is part of the larger ProMedica health system, a mission-driven, not-for-profit organization committed to improving health and well-being across communities in nine states. ProMedica encompasses a network of 10 hospitals along with affiliated operations and employs over 1,300 healthcare providers through ProMedica Physicians. Known for its clinical excellence, the organization also operates a range of services, including acute and ambulatory care, dental plans, and academic business lines. The hospital serves a diverse patient population providing compassionate and high-quality care through a patient-centered approach.
The role advertised is a full-time position based in the Acute G2 department at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. This position works a 40-hour week with day shifts and is vital to the hospital's operational effectiveness and guest experience. As a frontline representative of the hospital, the successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and other guests upon their arrival. The primary duties include greeting and directing visitors, providing wheelchairs, escorting patients as needed, and serving as an informative resource about the hospital, the campus, and the Toledo area. The individual in this role plays a key part in creating a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment.
In addition to direct guest relations, this role involves supervising information desk activities and managing volunteer Guest Guides to ensure smooth and efficient operations in the lobby area. Safety vigilance is an important responsibility; the role requires monitoring for potential safety hazards and promptly notifying security personnel as necessary to maintain a secure environment. This position not only requires excellent interpersonal skills but also strong organizational abilities and the capacity to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced hospital setting.
ProMedica is committed to diversity and inclusion and offers accommodations in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendment Act (ADAAA) to support candidates with disabilities throughout the application process. The organization fosters an equitable workplace, free of discrimination or harassment based on legally protected categories such as race, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, or veteran status.
This role offers flexible benefits designed to support employees in managing their family responsibilities, finances, and personal well-being. Working with ProMedica means becoming part of a respected healthcare system that values each individual's contributions and invests in their growth and development. This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy engaging with people, possess a strong customer service orientation, and want to contribute to improving patient experiences in a healthcare setting.
