Job Description

The 12th Man Foundation is a dedicated organization affiliated with Texas A&M University, committed to supporting the university's athletic and academic programs through exceptional donor engagement and premium services. The Foundation is well-known for managing premium seating and hospitality events that cater to high-profile donors and guests, ensuring they receive top-tier service and an unforgettable experience. Operating within this dynamic environment, the 12th Man Foundation emphasizes teamwork, professionalism, and a customer-oriented approach to maintain and enrich the strong relationships with their patrons.

The Concierge Team Member I position within the 12th Man Foundation's Premium Services department offers a unique opportunity to be part of an elite team that serves as hospitality hosts and official greeters for premium seat guests at home football games and other special events. This part-time, non-exempt role is perfect for individuals who thrive in fast-paced, event-driven environments and take pride in delivering outstanding customer service. Working closely with the Senior Manager of Premium Seating and other key team members, Concierge Team Members ensure that premium donors and guests receive seamless assistance from arrival through departure.

This role is not just about welcoming guests; it involves an intricate coordination with ushers, elevator operators, suite attendants, bartenders, and event staff to maintain a high standard of service throughout the event. The Concierge Team Member I attends preseason training sessions to fully prepare for event responsibilities and partakes in pre- and post-game meetings for smooth communication and operation. Key responsibilities include greeting donors warmly, directing them to premium areas, answering their inquiries professionally, assisting with any issues that arise, and maintaining confidentiality in line with the Foundation's policies.

The position demands punctuality, attention to detail, and the ability to perform light cleaning and suite window operations as required during shifts. A strong understanding of game day and stadium policies, accompanied by excellent communication and interpersonal skills, is essential. Suitable candidates should exhibit adaptability, organizational skills, tactfulness, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Candidates must commit to working at all home football games, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Additional work opportunities may arise with other 12th Man Foundation events, such as away-game travel departures and home baseball games, offering a diverse and engaging work schedule. Physical demands vary but generally require the ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift or carry items weighing up to 10 pounds. The work environment is predominantly outdoors at the stadium, exposing personnel to various weather conditions, noise, and other elements.

In summary, the Concierge Team Member I role is ideal for individuals looking to engage directly with influential guests in a vibrant sports and entertainment setting, contributing to the overall success of premium service operations at Texas A&M’s 12th Man Foundation events. This part-time role not only enhances professional skills in hospitality and guest relations but also offers the rewarding experience of supporting one of the nation's most passionate sporting communities.
