Job Description
The 12th Man Foundation is a distinguished organization dedicated to supporting Texas A&M University athletics through donor engagement and premium seating experiences. As an integral part of the university's athletic community, the foundation aims to enhance the connection between premium seat guests and the university by providing exceptional hospitality and service. This team plays a vital role during home football games and additional athletic events, emphasizing excellent donor relations and top-tier service quality.
The role of Concierge Team Member I within the 12th Man Foundation Premium Services department is designed for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and wish to contribute to an unforgettable game day experience for premium seat donors. This non-exempt, part-time position is essential in creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere at all home football games, with opportunities to participate in other notable events such as away-game travel departures and home baseball games. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Premium Seating, the Concierge Team Member serves as both a hospitality host and an official greeter, ensuring that guests receive thorough assistance and information.
Concierge Team Members collaborate closely with other staff, including premium seating ushers, elevator operators, and Levy Restaurants suite attendants and bartenders, to deliver quality service and seamless experiences for donors. The position requires attendance at preseason training sessions and pre- and post-game meetings to stay informed about policies, procedures, and event-specific details. Responsibilities include greeting and directing donors to premium areas, answering guest inquiries professionally, assisting with any issues, performing suite checks and spot-cleaning, and maintaining confidentiality according to foundation policies.
Candidates who excel in this role display strong organizational skills, attention to detail, effective verbal and written communication, and the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. They must also demonstrate adaptability, tactfulness, and customer-oriented attitudes in dealing with guests and colleagues. Physical demands for this position involve standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, and the capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, as the majority of time is spent in or around the stadium environment.
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with entry-level or less than one year of work experience being acceptable. Commitment to working all home football games, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays, is mandatory. This role offers a unique chance to be an essential part of the historic college football experience while honing hospitality and customer service skills in a dynamic sports environment.
