The Concierge role at Sewell’s Cadillac Buick GMC dealership is a critical front-line position that greatly impacts the customer experience. As a concierge, you will be the first point of contact for guests visiting the dealership, responsible for making a memorable first impression through warm greetings and professional service. This role demands strong communication skills, accountability, and a friendly demeanor to ensure guests feel welcomed and valued. You will manage front desk responsibilities including answering and transferring calls, handling cash and credit transactions, and assisting departments with administrative functions. The concierge also provides support to the service and parts departments, helps manage repair orders and documentation, and addresses customers’ questions and concerns by referring them to the appropriate personnel.
This position requires the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional and organized workspace. The concierge must work effectively as part of a team, contributing to exceptional customer service standards and ensuring smooth daily operations. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. This full-time role includes eligibility for comprehensive benefits after a provisional period, including medical, dental, vision insurance, and more. Job Duties
- Greet customers at the front desk/cashier counter in a pleasant and professional manner
- Maintain a friendly and helpful attitude when answering phones
- Compute customer bills
- Receive customer cash, checks, and credit card payments
- Issue accurate receipts to customers
- Provide cash refunds or credit memorandums to customers for returned merchandise
- Operate cash register
- Reconcile cash drawer daily
- Refer customers who have questions about the work performed, additional maintenance, repairs, etc., to the service advisor or other appropriate individual
- Handle customer complaints with integrity and poise and, when necessary, refer dissatisfied customers to the appropriate individuals for resolution
- Maintain and file repair orders, parts invoices, and rental forms
- Close all open invoices
- Assist service and parts department with telephone coverage
- Provide clerical and secretarial assistance to parts and service departments
- Work with the department manager to keep products, services offered, their features and value, and any price changes current
- Maintain a professional discretion
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform other duties as assigned
