The Concierge position at MorningStar Senior Living's senior living community is a pivotal role focused on providing exceptional customer service and support to residents, their families, and visitors. This full-time role offers a competitive pay range from $15.50 to $17.50 per hour and requires working evening hours specifically on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Those who take on this opportunity become ambassadors of the community, greeting guests with warmth and professionalism and acting as the initial point of contact for a variety of administrative and customer service duties. Responsibilities include answering telephones promptly with a courteous and professional demeanor, providing information, taking messages, sorting and distributing mail, typing, filing, and managing correspondence.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- at least one year of front desk or reception experience preferred
- knowledge of typing, filing, office equipment use including copy and postage machines
- ability to communicate effectively and provide excellent customer service
- commitment to respecting resident rights and confidentiality
- ability to work evening shifts on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
- positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications
- Demonstration of our core values: love, kindness, honesty, goodness, fairness, respect
- at least one year preferred of front desk/reception related experience
- high school or equivalent preferred but not required
- typing, filing, use of copy machine, telephone systems, intercommunication system and office equipment
- be knowledgeable regarding resident rights, confidentiality, how to meet the public and answer questions, employee handbook and census
- be friendly, courteous, patient, understanding, and work well with people including staff, residents, and families
- meet deadlines, organize, and prioritize the workload
Job Duties
- Greet visitors and family members and provide non-confidential information requested
- answer the telephone promptly using the appropriate greeting for the community
- sort mail and distribute to appropriate departments
- type and file correspondence and other information as needed
- adhere to and interpret resident's rights
- adhere to and interpret the personnel policies
- use of computers, calculators, copy machines, postage machines, etc
- express concern and compassion for residents and families
- escort people, if necessary, to resident's suites and other areas
- other duties as assigned
