The role available is that of a Concierge, an essential position dedicated to ensuring guests receive exemplary service and personalized attention from the moment they arrive. The Concierge acts as the first point of contact for guests, greeting them warmly and assisting with inquiries about resort operations, local attractions, and transportation services. This role requires a keen understanding of guest needs and the ability to efficiently coordinate recreation, business, and dining activities both on and off the property. The Concierge is also responsible for registering VIP guests, managing room assignments, promoting Hilton marketing programs, and handling guest complaints to ensure a seamless and pleasant stay.

Successful candidates will be adept at multitasking, possess excellent communication skills, and maintain composure under pressure, especially during emergencies or busy periods. Physical activity is an integral part of this role, involving standing, walking, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior customer service experience required
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Good physical condition able to frequently stand, walk and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
  • Strong communication skills
  • Comfortable using computer systems
  • Ability to maintain composure in emergency situations

Job Duties

  • Greet customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome
  • Respond to inquiries with accurate information regarding hours of outlet operation, directions to local attractions, or meeting rooms, car rentals and airline shuttle service according to individual needs
  • Answer telephone calls and input messages into the computer
  • Retrieve messages and communicate contents to the guest
  • Retrieve mail, small packages, and facsimiles for customers as requested
  • Arrange and confirm recreation, business and dining activities both inside and outside the resort
  • Respond promptly to requests for dentists, doctors, child care, florists, etc
  • Register VIP guests by inputting and retrieving information from a computer system, confirm pertinent information such as number of guests and room rate
  • Promote Hilton marketing programs
  • Make appropriate selection of guest rooms based on guest needs
  • Code electronic keys
  • Confirm the room number and rate
  • Provide folders containing room keys, certificates, coupons and refreshment center keys as appropriate
  • Respond to guest complaints, conduct research to develop the most effective solutions and negotiate results
  • Listen and assist in resolving problems such as price conflicts, insufficient heating or air conditioning
  • Remain calm and alert especially during emergency situations and heavy resort activity
  • Distribute printed materials such as brochures of local attractions or other Hiltons
  • Escort VIP guests to accommodations
  • Maintain a complete stock of supplies at the concierge lobby desk
  • Attend all mandatory meetings on property including safety meetings, Blue energy meetings, training meetings
  • Participate in off property restaurant tasting, local activities and team building outings
