The Concierge role at Reside Living is a vital part of the company's branding and lifestyle offering. The Reside Concierge program distinguishes the residential experience by providing a range of convenient and community-enhancing amenities that are usually unavailable in rental properties across Chicago. Serving as the frontline point of contact, the Concierge represents management and leasing teams, ensuring smooth interactions with residents and prospects alike. This position is designed for those who possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering top-tier customer service. The Concierge will handle a variety of responsibilities including greeting guests, coordinating transportation, monitoring security systems, assisting with light leasing duties, and supporting property management activities. They also play a key role in the planning and hosting of resident events to build community spirit.
This is a part-time position with a competitive starting wage of $20.00 per hour. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One year or more of customer-facing experience in hospitality, retail sales, or luxury services
- Ability to stand and walk for 90% or more of the time
- Capability to bend, stoop, squat, pick up litter, and climb stairs
- Ability to perform property inspection and demonstrate property features
- Proficiency in writing, typing, and corporate communication
- Ability to grasp, turn, use telephones and doorknobs
- Finger dexterity and operation of office equipment
- Capacity to lift and carry paperwork, deliveries, and files weighing less than 20 pounds
- Comfortable working overnight and second shifts
- Ability to work independently but excited to collaborate in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One year or more of customer-facing experience in hospitality, retail sales, or luxury services
- Experience in property management, leasing, community management, or as an administrative assistant is welcome
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Problem-solving skills using communication and ingenuity
- Impeccable attention to detail and pride in quality of work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
Job Duties
- Greeting and registering guests and prospective residents
- Answering concierge station phones
- Booking cabs, limos, and other transportation services
- Monitoring security systems and security cameras
- Providing key date reminder service
- Planning resident events
- Performing light leasing duties such as guest card management and property information dissemination
- Referring prospects to appropriate offices
- Providing walk-in rental information
- Acting as leasing backup for after-hours and rollover calls
- Providing after-hours answering services for property offices
- Responding to resident emergencies and contacting on-call maintenance
- Taking and forwarding service requests from residents
- Following up with residents on completed service requests
- Managing and entering community information into CFR systems
- Assisting managers in conducting social events
- Creating and coordinating resident parties and functions
