Job Description
The Crossings stands as a prestigious leader in retirement living within the Bay Area, recognized as the only 5-Star non-profit retirement community in the region. Dedicated to providing exceptional care across a spectrum of services including independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation, The Crossings has built a reputation for excellence and compassion. As a community-focused establishment, The Crossings strives to maximize the physical, cognitive, emotional, social, and spiritual potential of its residents while instilling confidence in their families and loved ones. The non-profit nature of the community reflects its commitment to quality care and neighborly service rather than profit-driven objectives, making it a unique and respected entity within the retirement living sector.
The role of Concierge at The Crossings offers a part-time opportunity with flexible working hours, ideal for individuals who value making meaningful connections and delivering outstanding customer service. This position is pivotal to the overall resident and visitor experience, as concierges serve as the welcoming face of the community, greeting each individual with enthusiasm and professionalism. The Concierge is responsible for ensuring that everyone entering the lobby receives a warm, welcoming, and exceptional customer service experience. This integral position requires a combination of friendliness, organizational skill, and a genuine passion for enhancing the lives of seniors.
Concierges at The Crossings handle a variety of tasks central to the smooth operation and vibrant life of the community. These duties include greeting visitors and residents, managing incoming calls, and signing for deliveries while promptly notifying the recipients. Additionally, the Concierge assists residents with scheduling transportation services and enters work order requests, supporting both convenience and maintenance needs. The role also involves performing minor maintenance tasks to ensure safety and functionality throughout the campus, such as installing temporary air handlers, plunging toilets, supporting fire panel systems, and conducting security walkthroughs. This wide-ranging scope of responsibilities highlights the importance of the Concierge as both a customer service expert and a campus liaison committed to resident well-being and safety.
The Crossings values employees who bring genuine kindness and dedication to their roles, especially those who possess customer service expertise and strong communication skills. The community offers attractive benefits such as a quarterly bonus program available to both full-time and part-time employees, paid time off that can be earned and used immediately, time off specifically designated for volunteering, discounted meals, an employee referral program, and early access to wages through PayActiv. These benefits reflect The Crossings' commitment to supporting their team members' work-life balance and overall satisfaction.
By joining The Crossings as a part-time Concierge, you become part of a community dedicated to serving seniors with care and respect. This is an excellent employment opportunity for those who are not only looking for a job but are passionate about making a positive impact daily in the lives of others within a supportive and well-established organization.
