The Apartment Concierge position at Christian Living Communities plays a crucial role as the first and central point of contact for all service-related needs. This role requires a self-motivated individual with a strong hospitality focus to effectively serve residents, guests, and visitors by managing various tasks such as answering questions, assisting with reservations for dining, travel, and entertainment, and providing personalized service. The concierge also handles phone inquiries, manages the in-house mail center, and acts as a general referral resource for the community. In addition to front desk responsibilities, this role involves ensuring the security of the building through periodic rounds and managing administrative tasks including mail sorting, event and guest apartment reservations, and updating resident information. The Apartment Concierge is expected to deliver exceptional customer service with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency, responding promptly to resident emergencies and building alarms, and filling in for the Resident Services Director in emergency situations. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • working knowledge of multi-extension, multi-line telephone systems
  • prior concierge or hospitality experience preferred
  • energetic and enthusiastic personality
  • strong communication skills
  • good organizational skills
  • ability to multitask
  • minimum one-year experience in business office environment
  • proficiency in computer software including Word, Excel, Outlook
  • ability to read, write, and speak English
  • ability to handle light physical effort occasionally
  • ability to sit, stand, bend, and move intermittently during work hours
  • ability to manage frequent interruptions
  • ability to interact frequently with residents, family members, visitors

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • prior concierge or hospitality experience strongly preferred
  • energetic and enthusiastic with exceptional communication skills
  • good organizational skills with ability to multitask and follow through
  • minimum one-year experience in a business office environment
  • strong clerical skills including knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • excellent customer service skills
  • ability to read, write, and speak English

Job Duties

  • Screens incoming calls
  • takes messages and/or forwards calls as appropriate
  • greets and signs in all visitors
  • provides directions or information to residents, visitors, guests, and vendors
  • sorts and distributes incoming mail
  • provides clerical assistance including typing letters, memorandums, reports, and forms
  • receives event reservations and schedules guest apartment reservations
  • updates census, resident directory, and birthday list
  • provides basic information about the community and ensures marketing brochures are available
  • responds to Emergency Call System and building alarm system
  • administers Stat Check System
  • performs periodic interior rounds to ensure building security
  • processes work orders for the community
  • manages office equipment and supplies
  • provides effective and courteous service to all residents, guests, and co-workers
  • handles resident emergency situations in the absence of the Resident Services Director
  • performs other duties as assigned
