The Concierge role at Park Avenue Lifestyle is a pivotal position that serves as the welcoming face and first impression of the community. Reporting directly to the Business Office Manager, the Concierge provides vital support by greeting visitors, arranging property tours, managing a multi-line telephone system, and offering clerical assistance to administrative staff. This non-exempt position demands a courteous and responsive individual who embodies the values and mission of the organization while maintaining an orderly and inviting atmosphere. The Concierge is integral to supporting the community's marketing efforts through positive interactions, as well as ensuring visitors and residents’ needs are met with professionalism and empathy. This role also supports various operational duties such as handling mail, clerical work, and occasionally assisting in dining services, showcasing versatility and dedication beyond traditional reception responsibilities. The ideal candidate will bring patience, enthusiasm, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals, including residents with varying levels of maturity and cognitive function. They must be capable of making independent decisions under pressure and sustaining composure in emergent situations. In addition, physical requirements include the ability to frequently walk, stand, lift, carry, bend, squat, and climb stairs, reflecting the active nature of the position. - Squat must be able to squat on a frequent basis to reach below the knee, may require lifting of 25 pounds or less
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Able to read, write, and understand the English language, and be able to follow written or oral instructions
- Able to make independent decisions when the circumstances warrant such action and to remain calm during emergency situations
- Able to deal professionally with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public
- Knowledgeable of administrative practices, processes, and guidelines
- Experience using computer software (Microsoft)
- Have patience, professionalism, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, and be willing to handle residents, staff and visitors, based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning
Job Duties
- Supports the mission, vision, and goals of the organization, upholding and promoting company culture and vision
- Greet visitors seeking information about the property
- Be responsive to the needs of people who inquire about the property and/or who are in the building for meetings with administrative personnel
- Direct visitors to appropriate office or resident apartment
- Responsible for assisting residents, family members, and guests with general requests
- Responsible for arranging tours of the property for individuals making spontaneous visits or those that have made an appointment for the tour
- Answers telephones, record and channel information
