This role is focused on joining a dynamic and dedicated team responsible for delivering outstanding customer service at Metropolitan Loft Apartments. The Concierge position plays a critical role in creating a welcoming and professional environment for residents and guests entering the controlled apartment building. This position requires a high level of customer service skills, professionalism, and the ability to handle requests efficiently and with excellence. The Concierge will be responsible for greeting and assisting residents and guests, managing visitor flow, supporting leasing office activities, handling security protocols, and maintaining the lobby’s overall appearance. This role demands strong communication abilities, an eye for detail, and the capacity to respond promptly to emergencies and resident needs. Among the key responsibilities are monitoring safety systems, processing packages, documenting incidents, and ensuring a secure and hospitable community environment.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • prior experience in customer service or related fields preferred
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to handle stressful situations calmly
  • availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • ability to stand or sit for extended periods
  • attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • must be able to operate security systems and emergency equipment responsibly

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • proven experience in customer service or concierge roles preferred
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • familiarity with security and emergency response protocols
  • basic computer skills for reporting and communication

Job Duties

  • Answer telephone and greet residents and guests upon entry
  • respond to requests, questions and any other needs
  • document and report issues and incident reports in a timely manner for management review
  • demonstrate excellent customer service, communication and time management skills
  • monitor emergency response system such as fire alarms and intercom and respond efficiently based on procedures
  • monitor and control electronic security control system
  • log and secure packages received until recipient collects them
  • follow-up on complaints and issues notifying management as appropriate
  • ensure all safety precautions and procedures are followed during duties including routine floor checks
  • assist with resident notifications or special events
  • write work orders, incident reports, and residents' requests and send to Leasing Office timely
  • perform other projects and duties as assigned by supervisor
  • work a flexible schedule to support 24/7 operation
