Job Description
The hiring establishment is a community-oriented organization dedicated to providing exceptional services and a welcoming environment for its residents. This community is committed to enhancing the quality of life for its members through attentive support, respectful interactions, and efficient management of services that cater to the diverse needs of its elderly residents. Known for its professional standards and focus on resident well-being, the community ensures that every aspect of daily life is handled with care and attention, fostering a sense of comfort, security, and belonging among its residents.
This part-time Concierge role is pivotal within the community, serving as the first point of contact for visitors and callers alike. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Concierge is responsible for delivering courteous, professional, and efficient service to all residents, guests, and staff members. The position plays a critical role in enhancing the overall experience of the community by facilitating smooth communication and coordination of various resident services. This role demands strong interpersonal skills, a welcoming demeanor, and the ability to handle multiple tasks including telephone communication, visitor reception, scheduling of appointments and transportation, and responding to resident requests. The Concierge will actively participate in maintaining the orderly operation of the community by managing essential supplies, preparing maintenance requests, and ensuring timely delivery of services. Furthermore, this role requires monitoring security cameras and acting as a first responder to emergency systems, demonstrating a commitment to resident safety and well-being.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills in English, a friendly and professional appearance, and a genuine appreciation and understanding of the challenges associated with aging. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications is important for this role to manage forms and other documentation efficiently. While supervisory responsibilities are not a part of this position, the Concierge must be a reliable team player who supports the community’s mission by fostering a positive atmosphere and proactively addressing resident needs. The physical demands include the ability to sit, stand, and walk intermittently, use hands and arms effectively, and occasionally lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. This is a non-exempt, part-time position that offers meaningful work in a supportive setting that values both employee and resident satisfaction.
