The Concierge role at Sunrise Senior Living is pivotal as the initial point of contact and the face of the community. This position plays a crucial role in setting the first impression for potential residents, families, and visitors by delivering exceptional customer service and professional engagement. The Concierge is entrusted with a wide array of responsibilities, including greeting and assisting guests, managing incoming calls with professionalism, supporting the sales team by sharing important community information, and facilitating smooth resident move-ins. Additionally, the Concierge maintains the front desk and Bistro area, ensuring these spaces reflect cleanliness and hospitality. Job Requirements

  • High school degree or GED
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer applications
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to multitask and manage time well
  • Reliable and detail-oriented
  • Willingness to comply with safety protocols and procedures
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Compliance with pre-employment health screenings and vaccinations as required
  • Understanding of privacy and confidentiality standards in senior care environments

Job Qualifications

  • High school degree or GED
  • Proven customer service skills and experience
  • Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office applications and Sunrise software
  • Ability to learn new applications quickly
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently
  • Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Experience with administrative duties preferred
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety practices a plus

Job Duties

  • Oversee the community entry area for visitors, guests, and residents, greet visitors warmly and provide refreshments, ensure community safety protocols are enforced
  • Contact the Director of Sales, Executive Director, or Department Coordinator to facilitate meetings with prospective residents and families
  • Greet potential job candidates, direct them to the application process, and record candidate information in the Applicant Tracking System
  • Answer telephone and resident calls promptly with the appropriate greeting, take and relay messages accurately
  • Manage appointments for residents and their families such as hairdresser visits and transportation
  • Order and send get well and sympathy cards, Memory Flowers, and coordinate guest meals for resident move-ins
  • Maintain front desk and Bistro cleanliness, replenish refreshments and snacks, ensure pleasant atmosphere with music
  • Partner with community team to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, practice safety procedures including PPE and emergency response
  • Update resident phone lists, manage sign-in logs, prepare and process meal tickets and money, distribute mail and newspapers, and assist with recruitment and administrative tasks
  • Participate actively in team meetings, training, and engagement programs, uphold company service principles and policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of Sunrise Senior Living community
