The role of Concierge at Vitality Living Pleasant Hills is a part-time position that plays a crucial role in creating a positive first impression for residents, families, and visitors. The Concierge is the face of the community, stationed at the reception desk, and responsible for managing communication and information flow efficiently during their assigned shifts. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills because the Concierge will be interacting with residents, families, team members, and vendors, addressing questions and concerns with patience and professionalism. Additionally, the Concierge assists with administrative duties, including organizing incoming mail and coordinating information with leadership such as the Executive Director or Business Office Director. Handling emergency situations calmly and appropriately is also a critical aspect of the job.

Vitality Living prioritizes ongoing team member development, so the Concierge is expected to participate in onboarding, annual training, and team meetings to stay informed and aligned with community standards and values. This role requires a warm, cheerful disposition and the ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • high school diploma or GED
  • ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or team members of the organization
  • demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level in which they are currently functioning
  • meet state or provincial health related requirements

Job Duties

  • Manage reception desk continuously during assigned period and perform administrative duties
  • respond to residents' family members' questions and concerns and share important information with the Executive Director or Business Office Director as is appropriate
  • respond and appropriately handle emergency situations that may arise in a calm, professional manner
  • organize incoming mail and ensure that it is distributed to the appropriate person
  • attend and participate in onboarding and annual training, in-services and team member meetings as requested
  • perform other duties as assigned by Business Office Director
