The role of part-time Concierge at the Indianapolis office is designed to ensure smooth and professional front-desk operations while providing exceptional guest services. This position operates on a part-time basis, requiring up to twenty hours per week, with the work schedule falling Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The concierge serves as the first point of contact for calls, clients, vendors, and deliveries, directing communication to the appropriate individuals in accordance with firm policies and procedures. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months to one year of relevant office experience
- Basic typing skills gained through coursework or experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate telephone console systems
- Professional appearance consistent with business smart or professional attire
- Flexibility to work part-time, up to 20 hours weekly
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read and write at a level generally acquired through completion of high school
- Six months to one year of on-the-job experience in a professional services office
- Ability to convert memos, letters, and forms from rough drafts to typed documents through coursework in typing
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate courteously via telephone and in person
- Ability to handle a high volume of calls and perform duties requiring mental effort
- Capability to manage telephone calls, visitors, and small deliveries
- Willingness to work occasionally irregular hours or more than 40 hours per week
Job Duties
- Operate multi-line phone system and direct calls and voicemail
- Greet clients and visitors ensuring access clearance and proper routing
- Offer guests beverages and check meeting room schedules for setup
- Escort guests to destinations including conference center and meeting rooms
- Manage guest requests by coordinating with service providers
- Conduct daily checks of kitchens, conference rooms, and office supplies, reporting issues
- Schedule conference room use and coordinate setups and catering
