Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six months to one year of relevant office experience
  • Basic typing skills gained through coursework or experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to operate telephone console systems
  • Professional appearance consistent with business smart or professional attire
  • Flexibility to work part-time, up to 20 hours weekly
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to read and write at a level generally acquired through completion of high school
  • Six months to one year of on-the-job experience in a professional services office
  • Ability to convert memos, letters, and forms from rough drafts to typed documents through coursework in typing
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate courteously via telephone and in person
  • Ability to handle a high volume of calls and perform duties requiring mental effort
  • Capability to manage telephone calls, visitors, and small deliveries
  • Willingness to work occasionally irregular hours or more than 40 hours per week

Job Duties

  • Operate multi-line phone system and direct calls and voicemail
  • Greet clients and visitors ensuring access clearance and proper routing
  • Offer guests beverages and check meeting room schedules for setup
  • Escort guests to destinations including conference center and meeting rooms
  • Manage guest requests by coordinating with service providers
  • Conduct daily checks of kitchens, conference rooms, and office supplies, reporting issues
  • Schedule conference room use and coordinate setups and catering
