The position of Concierge at Simpson is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking to showcase their unique skills within the personal care industry. The Concierge acts as a vital point of contact in the senior living community, delivering exceptional customer service and support to residents, their families, and visitors. This role requires creating a warm, welcoming environment where every individual interacting with the facility feels valued and attended to. The Concierge will handle front desk operations, assist residents with appointment scheduling, reservations, transportation, and maintenance issues, alongside managing visitor arrivals and enforcing visitor policies. Additionally, the role involves event planning in collaboration with the activities team, administrative responsibilities including mail and package management, and diligently maintaining safety and security throughout the facility.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in customer service or hospitality role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Empathy patience and compassion towards seniors
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Proficient in using computer systems including Microsoft Office and email software
  • Knowledge of safety and emergency procedures
  • Flexibility to work shifts including evenings weekends and holidays
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Physical stamina to assist with mobility and transportation needs

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Serve as the primary point of contact at the front desk welcoming residents families and visitors
  • Answer phone calls respond to inquiries and provide general information about the facility's services and amenities
  • Assist residents with scheduling appointments making reservations arranging transportation and addressing maintenance issues
  • Greet and assist visitors including family members friends and vendors notify appropriate staff of visitor arrival provide directions escort visitors and enforce visitor policies
  • Collaborate with the activities team to plan and coordinate social gatherings outings and special events for residents
  • Perform administrative duties including managing mail and package deliveries maintaining logs and organizing documents
  • Monitor and maintain safety and security by observing and reporting suspicious activities follow emergency procedures ensure well-being of residents and staff
