The role of Concierge at Barkan Management Company involves providing key frontline support in an overnight capacity based in Boston, MA. This position is full-time and focuses on maintaining a secure, welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike. The Concierge will play a crucial part in upholding the quality of the property’s residential experience by ensuring professional greeting and screening processes, responding efficiently to requests, and managing building services. Daily responsibilities revolve around maintaining strict adherence to property policies, supervising the front desk and Page staff, coordinating deliveries and service requests, as well as managing security protocols, all performed with a strong customer service focus. Additionally, the Concierge serves as a vital point of contact for residents seeking personal services or information about local amenities and events, making the role central to community satisfaction and safety.

Job Duties
- Maintain complete knowledge of rules, regulations, and policies
- welcome and greet all residents and guests to the property professionally
- announce all guests to units
- become knowledgeable with building service providers such as limousines, taxis, cleaners, pet services, and food delivery
- ensure the front lobby is always well maintained
- receive calls from residents for personal services and coordinate accordingly
- supervise the activities of Page staff and ensure proper uniform and attendance
- ensure the front desk is always covered
- accept deliveries including mail and dry cleaning and maintain logs
- receive and forward maintenance or service calls appropriately
- maintain strict adherence to key control policy
- ensure contractors entering the lobby are properly badged and follow policy
- enforce building rules and regulations as provided by the Board of Managers
- monitor security and life safety systems and report problems
- welcome new residents and assist with coordinating various personal deliveries and services
- provide information about local activities and events
- introduce new services and opportunities to residents
- document resident requests, complaints, and problems and notify designated personnel
- complete incident reports as needed
- perform duties as requested by Head Concierge or Property Manager
- maintain a current listing of local vendors
- ensure personal appearance is always immaculate
