Job Description

The role being offered is that of a Concierge, a vital position within the senior living community. As the first point of contact for all residents, families, visitors, and team members, the Concierge plays a key role in shaping the first impression of the community. This position requires a person who can immediately communicate a sense of warmth and professionalism while managing all front desk operations efficiently. The Concierge is responsible for not only greeting guests and managing check-ins but also for providing assistance that takes into account the special mobility, memory, or sensory needs that may be prevalent among the community’s residents. In addition to excellent interpersonal skills, the Concierge supports the community with various administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and mail sorting, which contribute to the smooth functioning of daily activities.

A strong focus of this role is on delivering exceptional customer service. The Concierge must be attentive and empathetic, ensuring that everyone who interacts with the community feels heard, respected, and well assisted. This role also includes responsibilities such as managing community communications by updating bulletin boards and signage, preparing marketing materials, and tracking sales of resident and guest purchases. Furthermore, the Concierge assists with the setup and coordination of community activities and events, helping to foster a vibrant and engaging environment for everyone involved.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • previous experience in customer service or reception preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet residents, families, team members, and visitors in a professional, warm, and inviting manner
  • maintain a clean, organized reception area that supports a positive community experience
  • deliver exceptional customer service, assisting with questions, concerns, and navigating the community, while being mindful of mobility, memory, or sensory needs
  • professionally answer and direct phone calls
  • provide administrative support including filing, typing, mail sorting, and data entry
  • manage front desk operations, guest sign-ins, and security measures
  • assist with community communications by maintaining bulletin boards, updating signage, and creating marketing materials
  • manage the sale and tracking of various resident and guest purchases
