We are currently seeking a reliable and professional Hotel Concierge to join our team at the main entrance desk. This role is crucial as you will be the first point of contact for guests entering our hotel, and your friendliness and efficiency significantly influence their first impression. The ideal candidate is a smart, trustworthy individual devoted to providing a warm welcome, addressing guests' needs promptly, and ensuring their satisfaction. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining security by monitoring the premises and managing guest access with discretion and attentiveness.
As a Hotel Concierge, your primary goal will be to contribute to an overall pleasant customer experience that enhances our hotel's reputation and supports sustainable growth. On a day-to-day basis, you will greet guests upon arrival, confirm reservations accurately, and assist with a wide range of requests. Your role extends beyond simple greetings, as you will act as a knowledgeable point of reference for guests, providing personalized recommendations on hotel amenities, local activities, entertainment, and dining options. Your expertise in the local area will help you suggest suitable options that meet each guest's interests and preferences.
In addition to guest interaction, you will be responsible for event coordination, arranging transportation, booking excursions, and other services requested by hotel residents. Effective communication skills are essential as you will handle phone calls, manage reservations, distribute messages and mail, and redirect calls promptly and professionally. Addressing guest complaints with patience and finding appropriate solutions is another important part of your role, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Maintaining an orderly and welcoming lobby environment is part of your daily duties including checking the cleanliness and accuracy of the lobby area, keeping the concierge counter neat, and handling paperwork efficiently. Your role plays a significant part in crafting a seamless experience for our guests, demonstrating the personalized attentiveness and professional demeanor our hotel prides itself on.
This position requires physical stamina, as you will be on your feet frequently, engaging with guests and handling various tasks that require lifting or moving objects. The ideal candidate will balance multitasking, time management, and customer-focused problem-solving skills in a dynamic hospitality environment. Job Requirements
- Prior experience required
- ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively and professionally with other business departments, guests, and vendors
- ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people, while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism
- strong competence in Microsoft Office software
- some data entry is a plus
- pleasant phone manner
- ability to stand, walk, and talk or hear regularly
- ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, or telephone frequently
- ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
