Job Description

This practice is a concierge medicine internal medicine physician opportunity located on the Northside of Atlanta, Georgia. The healthcare facility is rooted in a model of concierge medicine which focuses on providing personalized, attentive care. The practice is well-established with a loyal and respectful patient base that values after-hours access to their healthcare providers. The retiring provider, who has been with the practice for many years, will be handing over a full panel of approximately 600 patients to the incoming physician.

Atlanta is a vibrant metropolitan city known for its strong medical community and high quality of life. The practice is conveniently located near three top medical institutions in the South: Northside, Emory St. Joseph, and Children’s Healthcare, all within five minutes of the office. The community surrounding the practice offers award-winning schools and safe neighborhoods including Buckhead, Brookhaven, Dunwoody, Johns Creek, Alpharetta, Roswell, Sandy Springs, Virginia Highlands, and Decatur, all within 30 minutes. Additional lifestyle highlights include proximity to Lake Lanier, Truist Park (home of the Atlanta Braves), and the busiest airport in the world, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International, just 45 minutes away.

The role is that of a general outpatient Internal Medicine physician working within the concierge medicine model. The typical daily patient load is just eight patients, enabling the physician to provide thorough and comprehensive care without the high risk of burnout common in other practice models. Each provider typically manages around 600 patients, allowing for meaningful relationships and continuity of care. The patient population is well educated and appreciative of the on-call availability after hours, which usually involves only one call outside of regular office hours.

The position offers a partnership track that is described as unique compared to others in the southern United States. The partnership opportunity provides a pathway for long-term career and financial growth within the practice. The practice communicates a friendly and welcoming atmosphere—emphasizing community, quality of life, and work-life balance.

In terms of financial and lifestyle benefits, Georgia offers attractive tax advantages for seniors including no tax on social security benefits and a retirement income deduction of up to $65,000 for individuals aged 65 or older. The cost of living in Georgia is approximately 9.1% lower than the national average, making it a desirable location for professionals seeking quality of life and financial benefits.

Interested candidates are encouraged to reach out via text to Avery Poe for more information, detailing a straightforward communication approach. Overall, this position is ideal for an Internal Medicine physician seeking to practice outpatient medicine with a manageable patient load, in a supportive and respected healthcare environment in one of the Southeast's most dynamic cities.
