The Concierge role at the American Cancer Society in Cheltenham Village is a vital position designed to enhance the experience of guests who rely on the lodge during difficult times. This part-time opportunity offers meaningful work with a flexible schedule from Sunday to Wednesday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with an hourly wage of $20.44 plus an additional 15 percent shift differential for Sunday hours. The position serves as the first point of contact for guests, offering a warm, welcoming, and safe environment at the front desk. Responsibilities include managing check-in and check-out procedures, providing detailed information about lodge amenities and local resources, coordinating transportation and Empower Program services, and responding promptly to guest requests and emergencies. In addition, the Concierge is tasked with maintaining the organization of the front desk area and ensuring accurate record-keeping of all guest interactions. Monitoring lobby security and implementing safety protocols are also essential components of this role, which demands excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to multitask, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and multi-line phone systems. Ideal candidates will have at least one year of customer service experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and preferably some background in hospitality or guest services. The role requires physical stamina to manage extended periods of standing and walking, occasional lifting of luggage or items, and a readiness to help guests by carrying luggage or opening doors.
