The Concierge role at the American Cancer Society is a vital front-line position that serves as the welcoming face and first point of contact for guests. This role is integral in managing front desk operations with a focus on creating a safe, supportive, and friendly environment for all visitors. The Concierge assists guests with efficient check-in and check-out procedures, responds promptly to inquiries, and plays a central role in coordinating transportation and security measures. Compensation for this position is offered at a competitive rate of $19.54 per hour.

In this position, the Concierge is expected to greet guests warmly, provide comprehensive information about lodge amenities and community resources, and facilitate the coordination of transportation services including the EMPOWER Program. The role requires attentiveness in handling guest requests, concerns, and emergencies to ensure a positive guest experience. Additionally, maintaining an organized front desk area with accurate record-keeping of guests is essential to the smooth operation of the facility. Monitoring lobby security and implementing safety protocols is another critical responsibility to uphold the safety of guests and staff. This role requires a dedicated individual who is flexible to work varied hours including evenings and weekends.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and multi-line phone systems
  • Ability to work independently and multitask
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Additional education or training in hospitality management or customer service is a plus
  • Previous experience in hospitality, guest services, or a related field is preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
