Job Description

The hiring establishment is a community-focused care facility dedicated to creating a warm and welcoming environment for its residents, patients, employees, and visitors. This facility prides itself on maintaining strong and positive relationships with everyone who interacts with the community, ensuring that the quality of service is exceptional and that every individual feels valued and respected. The workplace culture emphasizes friendliness, professionalism, and attentiveness, all aimed at fostering a supportive atmosphere especially geared towards elderly care. The community setting allows for meaningful engagement between staff and residents, supporting holistic well-being and comfort throughout their stay.

The role available is that of a Front Desk Receptionist, a pivotal position centered around being the first point of contact for all individuals entering the community. This position requires exceptional interpersonal skills, as the receptionist will warmly greet visitors with a smile and provide refreshments if the visitor needs to wait, creating a hospitable environment from the very beginning. The receptionist will manage all incoming calls, efficiently directing them to the appropriate departments based on inquiries or requests, ensuring streamlined communication within the facility.

In addition to greeting and communication duties, the position entails administrative responsibilities such as maintaining updated resident lists and registries, processing maintenance requests via work orders, and monitoring the residents’ daily activities and attendance through an absentee register. The receptionist will also manage access control by requiring outside contractors, delivery personnel, and visitors to sign in and out, thereby promoting community safety and organization. The role extends to clerical duties including making copies, sending faxes, and handling cash transactions related to staff and resident expenses, ensuring accurate record-keeping and financial accountability.

This is a role suited for individuals who exhibit professionalism and a genuine passion for working with the elderly. The successful candidate must be patient, tactful, enthusiastic, and uphold a positive attitude at all times. In addition to strong communication skills, the candidate must be computer literate and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with composure and efficiency. Dressing professionally as directed by management is a requirement to reflect the establishment's standards of excellence.

The Front Desk Receptionist functions as a vital link between the community’s residents, staff, families, and visitors, embodying the values of kindness and respect. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a community that prioritizes compassion and care, supporting both operational needs and interpersonal relationships. The position supports management requests and additional assignments as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a team-oriented spirit. Employment type and salary details can typically be discussed during the hiring process, with the expectation of a rewarding career in a positive and responsive care environment where every smile matters.
