The Concierge role at Sage Park San Antonio is a vital position serving as the initial point of contact for potential residents, their families, vendors, and community visitors. This role is essential in creating a welcoming and professional first impression that embodies the community's values of warmth, respect, and service. The Concierge is responsible for greeting guests in person or on the phone, handling inquiries efficiently, managing security protocols, and ensuring smooth communication within the community. The role involves maintaining a professional appearance, managing visitor logs, delivering phone messages promptly, facilitating transportation scheduling, and ensuring confidentiality regarding residents' personal information. The work demands excellent interpersonal skills, strong administrative capabilities, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for working with seniors. The position operates on rotating shifts from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., including every other weekend, allowing a balanced schedule with a three-day weekend off. Experience with MS Office applications and senior living care adds valuable expertise to this fulfilling role. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years of concierge or front desk receptionist experience in a customer service-oriented industry
- Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications including Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Ability to communicate effectively and warmly with diverse groups
- Ability to make independent decisions
- Must maintain a professional personal presentation and be resident ready at all times
- Able to work rotating shifts from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. including every other weekend
- Capable of sitting for 75 percent of the day and able to work under stress and interruptions
- Able to talk and hear effectively
- Capable of occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to use personal protective equipment and follow safety policies
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting residents' personal and property rights
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years of concierge or front desk receptionist experience in a customer service-oriented industry
- Strong knowledge of computers and relevant software including Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Excellent communication skills with all levels of management, team members, residents, families, vendors, and community contacts
- Ability to make independent decisions
- Warm, friendly, and caring communication style
- Passion for working with senior citizens
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
- Understanding of customer service principles and practices
Job Duties
- Maintain a professional personal presentation
- Welcome visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone and answering or referring inquiries
- Answer the phone within 3 rings and determine the nature of the call to either relay information or route the call appropriately
- Take detailed messages with name, date, time and return phone number
- Ensure team members receive phone messages promptly
- Maintain knowledge of who is available to receive inquiries or host tours
- Maintain security by following procedures, monitoring log books including visitor sign-in and sign-out
- Maintain safe and clean reception, lobby and Welcome Room areas by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
- Receive and sort mail for Leadership Team
- Maintain a yearly transportation book for resident's doctor appointments and communicate with the driver at least 24 hours in advance regarding appointment dates and times
- Report all accidents and incidents as soon as possible to supervisor
- Maintain confidentiality of residents' personal care information
- Honor residents' personal and property rights
- Be in company uniform and resident ready at all times
