Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of job-related experience preferred
- At least 2 years of face-to-face customer service or hospitality experience preferred
- Ability to work a 12-hour rotating schedule
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and privacy
- Proficiency with computer systems for badging and screening
- Ability to assist with physical tasks such as managing wagons and wheelchairs
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two-year Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- At least 2 years of job-related experience preferred
- At least 2 years of face-to-face customer service, customer relations, or hospitality background preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations
- Experience with sensitive and confidential information management
- Ability to work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule
Job Duties
- Greet each person, regardless of visit reason, in a friendly, welcoming tone that provides an excellent impression of the organization
- Identify any regulatory or accreditation visitors that arrive on campus and alert the Accreditation and Regulatory Readiness chain of command immediately
- Assist each visitor through the badging and screening process including registering visitors in Fast Pass and conducting infectious disease screening
- Partner with security to identify and properly address visitors with security concerns such as registered sex offenders or BOLO guests
- Serve as an on-site screener ensuring all workers complete a health screen before starting their shift and distribute screening stickers and masks
- Facilitate confidential patient visitation while maintaining patient privacy and HIPAA standards
- Accept or deny deliveries for patients and staff ensuring timely communication
- Provide oversight and training for volunteers in Ambassador roles
- Maintain clean, neat screening stations and enforce policies in a supportive manner
- Assist families and staff with accessing and maintaining hospital assets like wagons and wheelchairs
- Serve as a liaison in Emergency Departments providing comfort and information to patients and families
- Assist patients and families with kiosk check-in processes
- Facilitate vendor check-in and resolve issues during sign-in processes
