Job Description

Marriott International is a global leader in the hospitality industry, renowned for its diverse portfolio of prestigious hotel brands and unparalleled commitment to guest service. Among its distinguished brands is The Ritz-Carlton, a hallmark of luxury that sets the standard for rare and special service worldwide. The Ritz-Carlton is celebrated for its dedication to creating lasting, memorable experiences for guests, driven by a culture that empowers its associates to be thoughtful, creative, and compassionate. With over 100 award-winning properties globally, The Ritz-Carlton Ladies and Gentlemen embody excellence in hospitality, delivering the renowned "Gold Standards" that define the brand's approach to service. These standards include the Employee Promise, Credo, and Service Values, which guide every team member in providing gracious, thoughtful care and comfort to guests.

The role of a Club Lounge Attendant at The Ritz-Carlton offers a unique opportunity to be part of this esteemed tradition, providing exceptional service in an environment that values professionalism and guest satisfaction. This position focuses on monitoring the club lounge to ensure seating availability, service quality, safety, and overall guest wellbeing. Attendants maintain the cleanliness and condition of the bar area, prepare and serve various beverages including hot, cold, and alcoholic drinks, and manage inventory by stocking ice, glassware, and supplies. Anticipating the needs of the lounge, the attendant communicates replenishment requirements promptly and helps with dishwashing and utensil care as necessary.

Operational duties include completing opening and closing tasks, requisitioning and transporting supplies, securing alcoholic beverages and storage areas, and documenting relevant information in departmental logbooks. The attendant also plays a critical role in forecasting meal needs and conveying special requests to kitchen staff to ensure seamless dining experiences. Safety is paramount, with responsibilities to report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management. Team members are expected to adhere strictly to company policies, maintain a clean and professional appearance, safeguard proprietary information, and protect company assets.

Central to this position is guest interaction—welcoming and acknowledging each guest according to company standards, anticipating and addressing service needs, assisting guests with disabilities, and expressing genuine appreciation upon their departure. Communication skills are vital, with expectations to use clear, professional language, accurately complete written documentation, and handle telephone inquiries with proper etiquette. The role demands physical stamina, including the ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull items up to 25 pounds independently, and remain standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods or a full shift.

No prior supervisory experience is required, and while a high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred, this role welcomes candidates without previous related work experience. It offers an inclusive environment committed to equal opportunity and celebrates the diverse backgrounds of its associates. Working at The Ritz-Carlton through Marriott International means joining an empowered global team devoted to luxury hospitality and service excellence, where you can be proud of your work and who you work with. This career path not only enhances your professional skills but also allows you to contribute to the legacy of one of the world’s most esteemed hotel brands, making a difference in the lives of guests every day.
