Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated Concierge to join our team. This pivotal role is essential in shaping the total "Guest Experience" at our hotel. As a Concierge, you will be the go-to person for guests looking to enhance their visit by offering informed recommendations and personalized services. You will possess extensive knowledge of local dining, entertainment options, attractions, and practical directions, ensuring guests feel informed and inspired to explore the best our area has to offer. Your ability to anticipate guest needs and provide tailored solutions will create memorable experiences that guests will cherish long after their stay.

As Concierge, your responsibilities will include responding promptly to guest requests for services such as reservations, transportation, and dry cleaning arrangements. You will manage unique needs with sensitivity, ensuring each guest feels attended to and valued. Your role involves collecting and organizing information related to property amenities, local events, and activities to deliver comprehensive guidance and support. Handling guest communications efficiently, coordinating with internal departments to resolve issues, maintaining safety protocols, and upholding company policies and professional appearance will also be part of your daily activities. This position requires excellent communication skills, a hospitable demeanor, and the capability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain or possess Maryland Serve Safe certificate
  • Prior experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Professional and courteous attitude
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure

Job Duties

  • Respond to guest requests for special arrangements or services by making arrangements or identifying appropriate providers
  • Respond to special requests from guests with unique needs and follow up to ensure satisfaction
  • Gather, summarize, and provide information to guests about the property and the surrounding area amenities, including special events and activities
  • Answer, record, and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns
  • Contact appropriate individual or department to resolve guest call, request, or problem
  • Review shift logs/daily memo books and document pertinent information in logbooks
  • Monitor club lounge for seating availability, service, safety, and well-being of guests
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager and complete safety training and certifications
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, assist individuals with disabilities
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language, prepare and review written documents accurately and completely, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette
  • Must be able to obtain or have a Maryland Serve Safe certificate
