The Concierge Assistant role at BCG’s Washington, D.C. office presents a unique opportunity for a hospitality-oriented professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality service and supporting a dynamic workplace environment. As the main point of contact for visitors, clients, and employees, you will help create a welcoming and professional atmosphere reflecting BCG’s values and dedication to excellence. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will manage various front desk responsibilities including greeting guests, managing visitor logistics, assisting with administrative functions, and coordinating support services such as room reservations, catering, and basic IT requests. Your role is crucial in ensuring smooth daily operations and enhancing the overall office experience through attentive, detail-oriented service.
This position requires a blend of interpersonal skills, organizational expertise, and flexibility to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced professional environment. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree and up to two years of experience in customer service or administrative roles are ideal. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn new systems is necessary. The role demands a consistent presence in the office, with an expectation of working five days a week and occasional overtime when required. Job Duties
- Greeting and directing visitors professionally and courteously
- assisting employees and visitors with navigation and desk reservation system
- escorting visitors as needed
- handling guests’ individual needs including office assignments and administrative requests
- monitoring concierge inbox and request management portal
- processing guest space and conference room reservations
- triaging meeting support requests like catering and IT
- assisting with basic IT requests including guest Wi-Fi login details
- communicating with team members to support projects, office space, and internal events
- providing backup coverage when necessary
- printing employee access badges and liaising with building security for compliance
- maintaining visitor guide and providing information
- arranging car services and validating parking
- helping maintain office meeting and events calendar
- supporting functional teams with large-scale meetings or events
- maintaining cleanliness of Reception areas
- assisting with general office projects like printing and binding
