The Concierge at Waltonwood plays a pivotal role as the face of the community, acting as the first and last impression for residents, visitors, and staff. This role is essential for creating a positive and professional atmosphere through outstanding customer service in every interaction. The Concierge serves not only as a hospitality provider but also as a key administrative support member within the community’s leadership team. Reporting directly to the Business Office Manager, Concierges are crucial in facilitating day-to-day inquiries, greeting and directing residents and visitors, managing telephone communications, and assisting with various administrative and clerical tasks. Due to the nature of this position, the Concierge becomes deeply involved with the residents, helping build strong, fulfilling relationships that enhance residents’ overall quality of life.
Furthermore, the Concierge supports the community’s safety and security by understanding and applying emergency procedures accurately and monitoring entry and exit points. Waltonwood’s Administrative Department, of which the Concierge is a vital part, is responsible for the smooth operation of daily activities, ensuring residents’ well-being and satisfaction. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum of 6 months of customer service and clerical experience preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer applications
- Knowledge of multiple phone line operations and proper phone etiquette
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
- Commitment to punctuality and regular attendance

Job Duties
- Greet residents, visitors, and staff in a welcoming, professional manner
- Answer internal/external telephone calls promptly and professionally
- Understand and apply safety, security, and emergency procedures
- Monitor and direct those who enter and exit the building
- Become familiar with all residents and communicate positively with them daily
- Update resident roster and collect daily resident charges
- Provide administrative and clerical support to department heads, business office manager, and executive director
- Keep front desk organized, neat, and clean
- Assist with other duties as assigned
