The Concierge position at Oakmont of Orange plays a vital role in maintaining the high standards of hospitality within the community. This part-time role, scheduled on weekends from 2:30 pm to 7 pm, offers an hourly wage ranging from $17.00 to $18.00. The Concierge is the first point of contact for visitors, guests, and residents, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service in line with Oakmont’s mission and values. Key responsibilities include greeting visitors warmly, managing multi-line telephone systems, coordinating resident requests, arranging tours of the property for potential residents, and supporting administrative staff with clerical tasks. The Concierge position is essential in creating a welcoming, safe, and secure environment, ensuring efficient communication and responsiveness, particularly in emergency situations.

This role requires excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, proficiency with personal computers and MS Office applications, and a strong background in customer service. Candidates with previous experience in hospitality or senior living communities are preferred. The Concierge must be at least 18 years old and successfully pass background and health screenings. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prefer two (2) years of experience in a hospitality setting or prior senior living community
  • excellent customer service skills
  • able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs
  • possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees and others
  • must pass a criminal background check and health screening tests including physical and TB tests
  • comply with company health and safety policies including COVID-19 protocols

  • must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB tests

Job Duties

  • Provide all residents, guests, and visitors with exceptional customer service
  • answer telephones, record, and direct calls to appropriate individuals in a timely, clear, concise, and professional manner
  • monitor the Emergency Alert System and immediately respond to every call
  • effectively manage business center and process incoming and outgoing mail
  • maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards
  • encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments
