The Concierge role at The Post Oak Hotel is pivotal in ensuring guests receive the highest level of personalized service throughout their stay. The Concierge acts as the primary point of contact for guests seeking local recommendations, arrangements for transportation such as limousine bookings, restaurant reservations, entertainment activities, shopping guidance, and other tailored services. This role demands not only excellent knowledge of the hotel’s amenities but also expert insight into Houston's culture, attractions, and hidden gems to curate an outstanding guest experience. The individual in this role must embody professionalism and courtesy, resolving any guest concerns promptly and pleasantly. This position requires strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with hotel management and other departments to meet and exceed guest expectations consistently.

Job Requirements
- minimum 5 years of concierge experience
- ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
- excellent computer skills in a Windows environment
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- physical ability to stand for entire shifts
- knowledge of Houston and surrounding areas
- commitment to providing luxury level service
- hospitality or related field education or certification preferred
Job Qualifications

- minimum 5 years of concierge experience preferred, Les Clefs d'Or USA membership preferred
- hospitality or related field degree or certification preferred
- possess excellent computer skills in a Windows environment including proficiency with word processing software
- experience with property management software is preferable
- previous hotel experience, luxury or Forbes experience preferred
- ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays is required
- physical demands: stand for an entire work shift
Job Duties
- assist the guest with any administrative duties as requested such as printing, photocopies, faxing, scanning, directions and airline boarding passes
- maintain an immaculately clean and luxurious work environment
- resolve the guest's issues in a pleasant, empowered and prompt manner
- communicate effectively with management and other departments and assist when needed in order to exceed the guest's expectations
- work to build insightful guest profiles and promote special hotel programs
- be knowledgeable about The Post Oak and its services
- demonstrate an extensive knowledge of Houston and the surrounding areas
- provide the most consistent and professional level of service to achieve and maintain the Forbes 5 Star Rating
