The role of Concierge at Discovery Village at Deerwood, Jacksonville, FL, is a vital position that centers on enriching the lives of seniors by serving as the welcoming first point of contact. The Concierge plays an essential role in creating a warm, organized, and professional front-desk environment where residents, families, guests, and team members feel valued and supported. This part-time position offers flexible scheduling, primarily covering evening shifts from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with occasional daytime shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Compensation is competitive at $16 per hour, reflecting the importance of this role in the community. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • one to three years of experience in customer service reception or administrative roles
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to multitask and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment
  • proficiency with basic computer applications including phone and email systems
  • capability to handle confidential information appropriately
  • availability to work flexible schedule including evenings and occasional day shifts
  • commitment to upholding company policies and confidentiality standards

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Perform telephone answering and reception duties managing internal and external calls professionally and courteously
  • take accurate detailed messages and ensure timely communication to appropriate recipient
  • greet residents families and visitors warmly respond to inquiries and provide directions as needed
  • collate brochures and support marketing materials as requested
  • prepare meal tickets for team members and family members tally meal count sheets for Dining Services
  • maintain and update resident phone lists rosters move-in and move-out registers guest logs and sign-in sheets
  • coordinate and manage resident and family appointments including transportation salon services and other community resources
  • keep the front desk and entry areas clean organized and welcoming at all times
  • sort organize and distribute mail to residents the Executive Director and department coordinators
  • maintain resident forms related to miscellaneous credits
  • follow all company personnel policies operating procedures and confidentiality requirements
  • perform other duties as assigned
