As an industry leader, Cedarhurst focuses not only on offering a safe and nurturing environment but also on fostering vibrant and engaging lifestyle opportunities for older adults. The company has built its reputation on a foundation of passion, trustworthiness, empathy, positivity, respect, and approachability—values that guide every team member in their daily work. Cedarhurst understands that its people are its greatest asset and, therefore, invests heavily in professional development and career growth opportunities. This commitment ensures that all team members are well-prepared to deliver The Friend's Work, a philosophy where employees strive to reassure, energize, and inspire seniors in the community.

Working at Cedarhurst means being part of a team that is devoted to more than just providing care. It means becoming an essential part of residents' lives by delivering exceptional customer service and fostering a genuine sense of belonging. The company believes in promoting from within, offering competitive benefits including medical insurance, life insurance, long-term disability coverage, and a 401(k) Plan with company match for eligible employees. These benefits and the supportive company culture make Cedarhurst a preferred employer for those passionate about making a difference in senior living.

The Concierge role at Cedarhurst Senior Living is a crucial position, reporting directly to the Executive Director. As the first point of contact for residents, their families, visitors, and staff, the Concierge plays an integral role in creating a welcoming and safe community environment. The role encompasses front desk management, including monitoring community entry and exit points, greeting and assisting guests, handling communications, and supporting the day-to-day administrative functions of the community. The Concierge also collaborates with various internal teams, including Business Office and Sales & Marketing, ensuring smooth operations and a high level of resident satisfaction.

Besides managing front desk activities such as signing guests in and out, responding to calls, and overseeing mail and package distribution, the Concierge assists residents with daily needs such as scheduling transportation and making event reservations. They have responsibilities related to maintaining safety by monitoring emergency response systems and fire alarm panels and ensuring community staff communicate effectively with residents' families about their well-being. Problem-solving skills and the ability to intervene in conflict situations to support residents, families, and staff are also important aspects of this role.

This position requires an individual who is organized, approachable, and empathetic with strong communication skills. Understanding the unique needs of a senior living community, the Concierge must be able to multitask effectively, manage various responsibilities, and foster a positive atmosphere throughout the community. This job also offers ongoing learning opportunities and involves physical elements such as standing or walking for extended periods and occasionally lifting items up to fifty pounds independently.
