The organization is committed to improving community health outcomes, offering educational and career opportunities, and addressing the evolving needs of local populations through comprehensive coordination of care and community programs. This hospital network values workplace excellence and supports all members of its team.
The Clara Maass Medical Center, located at 1 Clara Maass Drive in Belleville, NJ, is part of the RWJBarnabas Health system and plays a vital role in delivering specialized healthcare services to its community. Currently, the Clara Maass Medical Center is seeking a Concierge to join its dynamic Concierge Department on a per diem basis. This role offers a competitive pay rate of $21.70 per hour and operates during day shifts. The position demands a high level of dedication, professionalism, and excellent interpersonal skills to ensure a positive experience for patients and visitors.
As a Concierge at Clara Maass Medical Center, you will act as an ambassador of the SDS/Endoscopy area, providing special assistance and information to patients and visitors. Your role includes assessing the age-specific needs of each individual and delivering tailored assistance, treatment, and care. The Concierge oversees the SDS waiting area ensuring that all requests, issues, or complaints are promptly and effectively resolved. Responsibilities also include escorting and assisting patients and visitors to their desired locations or vehicles, offering wheelchair assistance, and handling telephone inquiries with clarity and professionalism.
The role requires constant engagement with patients and visitors, requiring a calm and alert demeanor especially during emergencies or busy periods. You will communicate clearly, provide accurate information regarding operational hours, directions, and other inquiries, and manage minor issues with discretion while escalating serious concerns to the appropriate patient advocates or representatives. The ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patient information is paramount, as well as adhering to safety and infection control procedures to ensure a safe environment.
This per diem position requires availability for day shifts, including weekends and holidays, with scheduling based on department needs. Preferred candidates hold a college degree and have healthcare training or experience, although a high school diploma is required at minimum. If you are a compassionate, courteous, and organized individual seeking to make a meaningful impact in the healthcare environment, this Concierge role at Clara Maass Medical Center presents a rewarding opportunity to join a respected health system dedicated to excellence in patient care and community well-being.
