Reporting directly to the Business Office Director, the Concierge serves as the first point of contact for residents, guests, and visitors, ensuring that everyone receives courteous and timely assistance. This position requires a friendly and professional demeanor, with the ability to anticipate and respond to the diverse needs of residents and visitors alike. The Concierge is responsible for greeting visitors, providing information about the property, arranging tours, and supporting administrative functions such as managing communications, mail distribution, and office tasks. Beyond clerical duties, the Concierge plays a key role in maintaining a safe, orderly, and welcoming lobby environment, complete with current literature and refreshments.\n\nThis full-time role emphasizes interaction with older adults, requiring compassion and genuine concern for their physical and emotional needs. The Concierge also assists with personal concierge requests including reservations and errands, thereby contributing to the residents’ comfort and convenience. Additionally, the role encompasses safety responsibilities such as monitoring emergency alert systems and responding promptly to calls, ensuring the wellbeing of everyone in the community. The ideal candidate will have a background in hospitality or a related field and be proficient with office software and equipment. Job Requirements

  • High school education
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a related position preferably in hospitality
  • Ability to add, subtract and multiply
  • Excellent communication skills including active listening
  • Ability to speak, write and read English
  • Proficiency with basic office equipment and computer software including Office
  • Mobility and ability to perform physical job requirements
  • Good physical health verified by health screening including chest x-ray or intradermal test within 6 months prior or 7 days after employment
  • Compassion towards older adults
  • Criminal record clearance prior to employment

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Provide all residents, guests and visitors exceptional customer service during every interaction whether in-person or via the telephone
  • Learn and know all residents by name
  • Greet all residents and visitors and provide information about the property
  • Assist residents, family members and guests with general requests
  • Arrange tours of the property for visitors and prospective residents
  • Answer telephones, record and channel information, and direct calls
  • Display knowledge of community services and programs
  • Manage mail meter, stamps, make copies, and assist with office tasks
  • Record receipt of packages and notify residents for pick up
  • Handle business center requests such as photocopying, faxing, and shipping mail
  • Process incoming mail, sort and distribute to appropriate mailboxes
  • Complete opening and closing duties accurately
  • Take reservations for dining rooms, activities, and transportation
  • Receive and record maintenance work order requests and deliver to Maintenance Department
  • Monitor the Emergency Alert System and respond immediately to calls
  • Maintain the Resident Notice Binder
  • Arrange for parking and retrieval of valet cars
  • Coordinate wake-up calls, dry cleaning, pet care, housekeeping, personal errands and car care as requested
  • Fulfill personal concierge requests such as restaurant reservations, tee times, directions and internet research
  • Maintain a neat and orderly reception area with current property literature and refreshments
  • Ensure all posted signage is accurate, timely and clean
  • Perform clerical duties as directed
  • Update and assemble marketing packets for inquiries
  • Respond to residents’ concerns and emergency calls promptly
  • Support marketing efforts through friendly interactions
  • Communicate observed or suspected resident changes to supervisors
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards
  • Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions
  • Support a positive and professional image
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
