The role centers on the position of Concierge, a pivotal front-facing team member who serves as the primary point of contact for residents, guests, and visitors. The concierge is entrusted with providing exceptional customer service at all times, demonstrating compassion, professionalism, and responsiveness. This position requires a high level of interpersonal skills and attention to detail in managing daily inquiries, directing visitors, answering telephones, coordinating transportation and maintenance requests, and assisting with personal concierge duties like restaurant and event reservations. In addition to operational duties such as handling mail and office-related tasks, the Concierge supports marketing efforts and contributes to the overall safety and security of the community. This role is integral to fostering a warm, inviting environment that promotes resident morale and attends promptly to any emergencies or resident concerns. The role generally demands a minimum of two years of related experience, preferably in hospitality, along with proficiency in office software and equipment. The ideal candidate is physically capable, compassionate towards older adults, and committed to upholding a positive image of the community. Employment is typically full-time with necessary compliance prerequisites such as criminal background checks and health screenings to ensure a safe and reliable service environment.

Job Requirements

  • High school education
  • Minimum two years of experience in a related position preferably in hospitality
  • Ability to add, subtract and multiply
  • Excellent communication skills including active listening
  • Ability to speak, write and read English
  • Proficiency in basic office equipment including personal computer
  • Proficient in Office software
  • Good physical health verified by health screening
  • Ability to be mobile and perform physical job requirements
  • Pass criminal record clearance prior to employment

Job Duties

  • Provide all residents, guests and visitors exceptional customer service during every interaction
  • Learn and know all residents by name
  • Greet residents and visitors
  • Provide property information
  • Respond to general requests from residents, family members and guests
  • Arrange property tours
  • Answer telephones and relay messages
  • Display knowledge of property services and programs
  • Handle mail meter, stamps and office tasks
  • Record receipt of packages and notify residents
  • Process incoming mail
  • Complete opening and closing duties
  • Take reservations for dining rooms, activities, and transportation
  • Record and deliver maintenance work requests
  • Monitor Emergency Alert System and respond immediately
  • Maintain Resident Notice Binder
  • Arrange valet parking
  • Coordinate wake-up calls, dry cleaning, pet care and errands
  • Fulfill personal concierge requests
  • Maintain neat reception area
  • Ensure signage accuracy and cleanliness
  • Perform clerical duties for staff
  • Update and assemble marketing packets
  • Respond to resident concerns promptly
  • Support marketing efforts
  • Communicate observed resident condition changes to supervisor
  • Maintain safety and security
  • Encourage teamwork and support positive image
  • Perform other duties as assigned
