As a Residential Concierge with URBN Playground, you will play a vital role in shaping the experiences of residents living in upscale residential environments. This role is tailor-made for individuals with a hospitality background who are passionate about customer service and eager to make a meaningful difference in residents' lives. As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for welcoming residents and guests warmly, addressing a wide variety of needs and inquiries, and maintaining a secure and inviting atmosphere within the building. Whether greeting residents by name or assisting with packages, community apps, and building events, your presence will embody a standard of excellence that residents and visitors expect.
This position operates in a dynamic, community-forward location with shifts available seven days a week, either from 7a-3p or 3-11p, reflecting the 24/7 nature of residential living. At an hourly pay rate of $18.00, the role offers a competitive compensation package for those entering or building upon their careers in residential hospitality and concierge services.
Your duties will range from managing front desk operations and acting as a liaison between residents and building management to ensuring compliance with safety and security protocols. The role also involves enhancing communication about building events and services via the URBN app and other channels, providing residents with timely assistance, and troubleshooting concerns to foster a positive living environment. You will be empowered to act independently while working collaboratively with a supportive team of professionals who share a commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences.
To excel in this role, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to connect with people at all levels are essential. Job Requirements
- High school diploma required
- Prior hospitality or residential concierge/front desk experience
- 2-3 years customer service experience
- Ability to stand at a desk for 8 hours
- Knowledge of and ability to learn the community and local area
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to lift 40 pounds and carry for short distances
- Additional language skills is a plus
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Prior hospitality experience and/or residential concierge/front desk experience
- 2-3 years customer service experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level data and computer skills
- Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to connect at all levels with staff and residents
- Additional language skills is a plus
- College diploma preferred
- Previous experience in sales-related roles and property management software familiarity is advantageous
Job Duties
- Create a welcoming, hospitable experience for residents and assist with their needs and questions
- Greet all residents by name upon their arrival
- Deliver the highest quality customer service
- Act as the forward reception for potential residents touring and interested in leasing apartments
- Inform residents about building events as directed by management
- Maintain building security by registering guests and delivery personnel and announcing their arrival
- Monitor building security via cameras and report necessary situations to management
- Receive and address resident concerns and complaints regarding building issues or escalate to management
- Manage package reception and notify residents using building software when assigned
- Conduct site rounds on a specified schedule when assigned
- Ensure residents and guests vacate amenity areas at closing
- Assist residents with using the URBN app to sign up for building events and services
