Job Description
Cypress Cove is a distinguished Life Plan Community, also known as a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), that spans a scenic 60-acre campus dedicated to providing senior living accommodations complemented by exceptional amenities, fine dining, and elegant decor. The community offers a full continuum of care designed to meet the diverse needs of its residents, including Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Long-Term Care, and Rehabilitation services. Known for fostering a warm, engaging, and friendly atmosphere, Cypress Cove prides itself on the quality of life it offers its residents and the close relationships developed between staff and residents. This supportive and respectful environment makes Cypress Cove not only a wonderful place for seniors to live but also an appealing workplace for those passionate about serving older adults. Cypress Cove operates as an Equal Opportunity Employer and promotes a drug-free and tobacco-free workplace, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for its employees and residents.
Cypress Cove is currently seeking a dedicated Concierge team member to join the community on a PRN (pro re nata or as needed) basis. This crucial role is responsible for welcoming on-site visitors, handling incoming multi-line phone calls, and providing vital information and support to residents, families, and staff. The Concierge plays a key part in maintaining a secure and friendly atmosphere by managing visitor access, answering inquiries about the organization, and facilitating communication between residents and relevant personnel. This position requires working on weekends, underscoring the importance of reliability and a year-round work commitment.
The Concierge will also be responsible for maintaining essential records such as resident phone lists and away lists, booking and managing guest room reservations, and requesting maintenance and housekeeping services through the WorxHub system. In addition, clerical duties including filing, photocopying, data management, and handling resident information from Point Click Care are integral to day-to-day operations. Managing outgoing postal mail, accepting and logging pharmacy orders, and notifying residents of pharmacy items and dry cleaning are also part of the Concierge's varied responsibilities.
Candidates must demonstrate a service-oriented attitude with patience and genuine compassion for older adults. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are vital to effectively interact with residents, families, visitors, and staff members. Maintaining confidentiality is of utmost importance given the sensitive nature of the information handled at the front desk, including computer records, paperwork, and medication data.
Cypress Cove offers an attractive compensation package with opportunities for continuing education, including tuition reimbursement and local college partnership discounts. Employees benefit from a retirement plan with a 6% company match, complimentary access to a daily salad bar and homemade soups, milestone gifts, free telemedicine for family members, a free employee clinic for sick visits, and referral bonuses. This supportive and enriching work environment makes Cypress Cove an excellent choice for individuals committed to delivering compassionate and quality service to the senior community while growing their professional careers with meaningful benefits.
