Specifically, the Sunrise at Holladay community is seeking a dedicated Concierge to serve as the welcoming face and initial point of contact for residents, families, visitors, and potential job candidates. This role is pivotal in creating positive first impressions and fostering a warm, safe, and organized environment. The Concierge is responsible for greeting and assisting guests, managing telephone communications, supporting the Director of Sales and Executive Director by providing community information, and assisting with recruitment activities. Additional responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness and ambiance of communal areas like the Bistro, administrative duties related to resident coordination, and helping ensure compliance with health and safety standards. This is an essential role contributing to both the operational efficiency and the welcoming atmosphere of the community.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in customer service roles
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
  • Must support company Mission, Principles of Service and Core Values
  • Willingness to comply with company safety policies and procedures
  • Availability to work Sunday 4PM to 8PM and be on call
  • Ability to undergo pre-employment health screenings and any required vaccinations as mandated by law
  • Ability to drive a company vehicle and sign the Driver job description if applicable.

Job Qualifications

  • High school degree or GED
  • Proven customer service experience and skills
  • Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) and ability to learn new applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Accurate record keeping abilities
  • Good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively

  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems is preferred
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards is a plus.

Job Duties

  • Oversee the community entry area for visitors, guests, and residents, extend a warm welcome and greeting, offer and provide beverages to visitors and guests, and ensure that community safety protocols are in place
  • Contact the Director of Sales, Executive Director, or Department Coordinator to meet with prospective residents, families, or visitors and ensure wait times are minimal
  • Greet potential job candidates and direct them to apply online or enter their information into the Applicant Tracking System
  • Answer incoming telephone calls within two to three rings with appropriate greeting and identification
  • Take complete messages and communicate them to the intended recipients
  • Provide community overviews to callers and direct them accordingly
  • Manage appointments for residents and family members such as hairdresser and transportation
  • Send get well, sympathy, and memorial cards as appropriate
  • Order flowers and nameplates for new residents and guest meals for move-in days
  • Maintain marketing and move-in packet inventory
  • Support sales inquiries and assist with customer relationship management lead entry
  • Keep the front desk and Bistro area organized and clean, restock refreshments, maintain popcorn machine, and ensure continuous music
  • Partner with team to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements, practice safety procedures and maintain resident and team member rosters for emergencies
  • Respond to emergencies according to policies
  • Monitor sign-in and sign-out of guests and residents
  • Maintain high-risk elopement list and monitor entry and exit of all residents closely
  • Update resident phone lists, move-in/out registers, and guest logs
  • Prepare meal tickets and tally sheets, collect and process meal ticket money
  • Distribute mail, newspapers, and post daily menus
  • Assist with recruitment data entry and administrative tasks
  • Monitor and order office supplies
  • Track and distribute team member paychecks
  • Participate actively in team meetings and engagement programs
  • Maintain compliance with required trainings and perform other duties as assigned.
