Job Description

Children's Health is a leading pediatric healthcare organization dedicated to making life better for children by providing exceptional medical treatments and a comprehensive support system in collaboration with UT Southwestern. Located in Plano, Texas, Children's Health is committed to delivering outstanding patient and family experiences through cutting-edge healthcare solutions and a caring, family-centered approach. The institution places a strong emphasis on community well-being, working tirelessly to improve children's health not just within its facilities but throughout the broader community as well. By fostering an environment where children and their families feel supported and cared for, Children's Health plays a vital role in shaping a brighter and healthier future for the next generation.

The Concierge position at Children's Health Plano is an on-site, PRN role designed to provide an inviting and professional presence at the hospital campus's public entrances. This role is essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere for every visitor, patient, and employee entering the facility. The Concierge serves as the first point of contact and is responsible for greeting visitors warmly, managing the badging and infection prevention screening processes, and verifying appropriate campus access for both visitors and employees. This position also ensures that Children’s Health employees complete the necessary health screening before commencing their shifts, distributing screening stickers and masks accordingly. Acting as a liaison, the Concierge coordinates hospital systems and patient information to assist visiting families effectively while maintaining compliance with regulatory and security protocols.

This role demands excellent interpersonal and communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to remain composed during high-stress situations. The Concierge must be adept at problem-solving and have the capacity to navigate hospital software systems for visitor registration and badging. Additionally, the Concierge works closely with hospital security to monitor visitors with special considerations, including registered sex offenders and those with criminal trespass orders. This position requires a dedicated individual who embraces the mission of Children's Health to improve children’s lives and is committed to supporting a positive patient and family experience in a dynamic healthcare setting.
