The Concierge supports both the Director of Sales (DOS) and the Executive Director (ED) by providing comprehensive community information and assisting with recruitment activities. Responsibilities also include maintaining the Bistro area, ensuring a pleasant ambiance with refreshments and music, and supporting resident move-in processes. The Concierge acts as an ambassador for Sunrise Senior Living by assisting prospective residents and their families, coordinating appointments, handling administrative duties like data entry, managing safety and risk protocols, and contributing to team success through active participation in meetings and training. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office and Sunrise applications, possess excellent communication and organizational skills, and have a background in customer service. Job Requirements

  • High school degree or GED
  • Proven customer service experience
  • Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office and Sunrise applications
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and compliance
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to participate in required training and meetings
  • Employment contingent upon passing pre-employment screenings and health evaluations
  • Covid-19 and Influenza vaccinations may be required if mandated by law.

Job Duties

  • Oversee the community entry area for visitors, guests, and residents, extend a warm welcome and greeting, offer and provide beverages to visitors and guests, and ensure that the community safety protocols are in place
  • Contact the DOS, ED, or Department Coordinator to meet with prospective residents, families, or visitors and ensure wait times are minimal
  • Greet potential candidates interested in learning more about Sunrise careers and job openings and direct candidates to apply online or capture their information into the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Answer incoming telephone and resident calls within 2-3 rings with the appropriate greeting and identification
  • Take complete messages with name, number, and message as appropriate and communicate messages to intended recipients
  • Offer and provide a community overview to callers, determine who to forward the caller to, and notify the caller of the transfer
  • Manage appointments for residents and families such as hairdresser and transportation
  • Send get well cards to residents in the hospital and sympathy cards to families as needed
  • Order Memory Flowers for residents who have passed
  • Maintain the front desk and Bistro areas neat and organized, ensure refreshments and snacks availability, keep music playing, and ensure coverage when away
  • Partner with community team to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promote risk management programs, practice safety procedures and maintain key emergency rosters
  • Update resident phone lists, move-in/out registers, sign-in logs, handle meal ticket processing, organize mail and newspapers, maintain resident credit forms, assist with recruitment data entry, monitor office supplies, and track team member paychecks
  • Participate actively in team goals, demonstrate the Team Member Credo, commit to serving residents and guests, engage in customer and team member engagement programs, attend meetings and maintain training compliance
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
