Job Description

Aurora is a reputable healthcare organization dedicated to providing exceptional medical services to diverse communities. Known for its commitment to excellent patient care, Aurora operates multiple hospital facilities and healthcare centers. The organization focuses on fostering a supportive environment for both patients and employees, striving to maintain high standards of safety, quality, and compassion throughout all operations. As part of its commitment to exceptional service, Aurora continuously seeks dedicated professionals who embody its mission of superior patient care and community well-being.

The role of the Concierge at Aurora is crucial in shaping the first impression visitors and patients receive upon arriving at any of the healthcare facilities. This position is designed for individuals passionate about customer service and eager to assist a diverse clientele, including patients with special needs such as wheelchair users and individuals requiring transportation assistance. The Concierge acts as the face of the facility, managing smooth and efficient arrival experiences, while ensuring guests and visitors feel welcomed, secure, and supported from the moment they enter the premises.

This employment opportunity typically involves a flexible, customer-oriented schedule adapted to the demands of a busy healthcare environment. The daily duties include greeting customers, assessing their immediate needs, and providing various forms of assistance ranging from helping with vehicle exits to arranging transportation or escorting patients to specific locations within the facility. The Concierge also collaborates with multiple hospital support teams such as Public Safety Services, Environmental Services, and Patient Transport to ensure the facility's operations flow seamlessly.

Physical stamina is an important aspect of this job as it requires standing, walking, or running for approximately 95% of the workday, as well as the ability to lift and handle weights up to 50 pounds. The role demands excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a keen ability to problem-solve independently. While there is no formal licensure required, previous experience in service management, particularly in a concierge or greeter role, is highly beneficial.

Overall, the Concierge position at Aurora is ideal for those committed to making a positive impact on the patient and visitor experience by delivering courteous, efficient, and safe service in a dynamic healthcare setting. This role not only serves as a critical touchpoint for customer interaction but also supports the hospital’s broader mission of providing top-notch healthcare services alongside a welcoming and supportive environment for all who enter its doors.
