The Concierge role at Montage International is a vital position dedicated to enhancing the guest journey from the moment they arrive. As one of the first points of contact for guests, the Concierge is tasked with setting the tone for an outstanding stay through exemplary customer service and knowledgeable assistance. This position requires a high level of interpersonal skills and an eagerness to engage with guests, providing insights into local attractions, dining options, and cultural activities to enrich their experience. The Concierge manages reservations both within the hotel and for external venues while ensuring seamless communication between various hotel departments to accommodate special guest needs. This role demands strong organizational skills to track guest requests meticulously and ensure timely follow-up, fostering guest satisfaction and loyalty. Additionally, the Concierge is responsible for logging and coordinating incoming and outgoing packages, managing hotel transportation logistics, and supporting the hotel driver scheduling to ensure all guest transportation needs are met effectively. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of hospitality expertise, exceptional communication abilities, and technical proficiency with common office software to adapt quickly to new systems. This position requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the dynamic rhythm of the hotel business. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods, approximately six hours
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill tasks
  • Must have manual dexterity including grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, and climbing
  • Must maintain a drug-free workplace and complete pre-employment substance abuse testing
  • Must be able to work weekends, nights, or holidays based on business demands
  • Must be dependable and punctual
  • Must have strong communication skills
  • Must be customer service oriented

Job Qualifications

  • College degree preferred
  • Minimum of two years' experience in an upscale hotel preferred
  • Minimum of two years' experience in customer service
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • Exceptional guest recovery skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Must possess a positive attitude
  • Must be willing to participate in a learning environment
  • Must integrate company values throughout all interactions
  • Must be able to quickly and effectively adapt to using new software products
  • Must be dependable and available to work within the hotel on weekends, nights and/or holidays based on business demands

Job Duties

  • Greeting guests with friendly and sincere welcome
  • Providing information and assistance to guests regarding city and hotel attractions or points of interest
  • Booking reservations for guests both within the resort and at outside facilities
  • Properly logging guests requests and performing follow up with guests
  • Familiarizing oneself with each day’s arrival and group activities
  • Maintaining communication with Reception and other departments regarding guest activity or special needs as necessary
  • Ensuring any incoming and outgoing packages are logged and delivered appropriately
  • Monitoring and scheduling Hotel Driver and booking guest transportation with Hotel's contracted vendor
