Job Description
The hiring establishment is a reputable community-focused organization specializing in providing exceptional residential and support services, primarily catering to the geriatric population. The organization prides itself on maintaining a warm, welcoming environment that values integrity, respect, and collaboration. This company is dedicated to enriching the lives of its residents while ensuring high standards of communication and administrative efficiency. The establishment fosters a culture where employees are encouraged to embrace core values such as caring about people, doing the right thing, having fun while passionate about their roles, speaking up responsibly, taking ownership, and being respectful to all colleagues and guests.
The current opportunity is for the role of Concierge, a pivotal position serving as the front-of-house representative for all external stakeholders, guests, visitors, and vendors. This position is crucial for maintaining professional public relations and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the community by assisting the Community Leadership Team with administrative tasks. As the first point of contact, the Concierge is responsible for greeting visitors with professionalism and courtesy, managing communication channels including multi-line phone systems, and providing vital assistance such as directions and information about the community services and rates. The role demands someone with excellent interpersonal skills, an interest in working with the elderly, and the ability to handle multiple demands efficiently.
The Concierge’s responsibilities extend beyond reception duties to include typing memos and correspondence, distributing mail, maintaining confidentiality of resident information, and keeping the front desk and lobby orderly. They also play a key role in creating admission packets and offering tours or informational assistance to prospective residents and their families. This position requires a calm demeanor during emergency situations, strong communication skills at all organizational levels, and a proactive attitude toward teamwork and cooperation.
In addition to administrative duties, the Concierge acts as a Culture Ambassador by embodying the company’s core values and ensuring that all personnel uphold these principles consistently. The Concierge helps drive the community’s sales culture and contributes positively to creating an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and enthusiasm. This role is ideal for candidates with prior experience in public-facing roles, comfortable with technology such as telephone systems and basic computer skills, and possessing a deep commitment to service excellence in a community environment.
Overall, this is a full-time opportunity that promises a dynamic working environment within a caring community that values professionalism, teamwork, and respect. The position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of residents and visitors through superior administrative support and exceptional customer service at the heart of the organization’s operations.
